The Two Bohemian Catholic Officials Who Were Thrown Out of a Castle Window in 1618 and Both Survived
On 23 May 1618 a Protestant Bohemian delegation threw two Catholic imperial regents and their secretary out of a third-storey window of Prague Castle. They fell about 21 metres into the castle ditch. All three lived. The act started the Thirty Years' War.
