The Paris Tunnel Crash That Killed Princess Diana, Dodi Fayed, and Driver Henri Paul at 00:23 on 31 August 1997 A black Mercedes-Benz S280 carrying Princess Diana, Dodi Fayed, and driver Henri Paul crashed in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel in Paris at 00:23 on 31 August 1997. Fayed and Paul died at the scene; Diana died at La Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital at 04:00. The 2008 British inquest jury verdict was unlawful killing through the gross negligence of Paul and of the pursuing paparazzi.
