For which pharaoh was the Great Pyramid of Giza built?
The Great Pyramid of Giza was built around 2560 BC for the fourth-dynasty pharaoh Khufu (known to the Greeks as Cheops). It is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still substantially intact. Originally 146.6 metres tall, it remained the tallest human structure on Earth for approximately 3,800 years, until Lincoln Cathedral's spire was completed around 1311 AD.
