What did Manderup Parsberg — the cousin who cut off Tycho's nose in 1566 — go on to become?
Parsberg recovered fully from his Rostock duel with Tycho. He served as a member of the Danish Rigsråd (royal council), held the royal castle of Hagenskov in Jutland for twelve years, and outlived Tycho by 24 years. He died in 1625 in his late seventies. The two men maintained a courteous, distant relationship for the rest of Tycho's life.
