The 51-Day Siege of the Branch Davidian Compound at Mount Carmel That Ended in Fire on 19 April 1993 ATF agents attempting to serve federal weapons warrants at the Branch Davidian Mount Carmel Center near Waco, Texas, were met with armed resistance on 28 February 1993. Four ATF agents and six Davidians died in the initial firefight. The FBI siege that followed ended at 12:07 on 19 April 1993 when fire consumed the compound. Approximately 76 Davidians died including leader David Koresh and 25 children.
